Teacher advocates political flags

Alleged incident in Winooski School District · Vermont

A teacher at Winooski High School, recently named the state's Teacher of the Year, publicly advocated for schools to continue flying Black Lives Matter and Pride flags. The educator also supported "culturally responsive" learning environments, which incorporate race and LGBTQ identity into classroom instruction. This position was shared in response to a proposed state education plan.
