District hides gender identity
Alleged incident in Northwest Arctic Borough School District · Alaska
A school district implemented a policy allowing staff to keep a student's gender identity confidential from their parents. The policy also mandates the use of preferred names and pronouns and permits facility use based on preferred gender. This policy was based on a model from the Alaska Association of School Boards.
