Elwood District Adopts Critical Theory

Alleged incident in Elwood Union Free School District · New York

An educational institution adopted a program in May 2021 that parents allege is rooted in critical race theory and critical gender theory. The district superintendent stated that no future work would explicitly reference critical race theory, despite the program's content. This decision has raised concerns among some parents regarding the curriculum's ideological underpinnings.
