A school district is implementing a book into its middle school curriculum that contains content asking white individuals to "step aside" in favor of "Black, Indigenous and other Folx of the Global Majority." This decision follows the district's adoption of an "Equity, Inclusivity, and Diversity in Education" policy aimed at integrating such ideologies into its teaching materials. The book was previously used in a middle school social justice book club.
