Middle School Gender Identity Lessons
Alleged incident in Sunset Ridge School District 29 · Illinois
Sunset Ridge Middle School implemented lessons in health and sex education that focused on gender identity. Students were taught to differentiate sex assigned at birth from gender and used gender-neutral terms for biological sex. The curriculum aimed to be inclusive of transgender students.
