District hides student gender identity
Alleged incident in North Kitsap School District · Washington
A school district policy allows staff to withhold information about a student's gender identity from their parents. The policy states that schools should consult with students regarding parental involvement preferences before disclosure. It also permits students to use facilities and be addressed by preferred pronouns consistent with their gender identity.
